Day 1: USA – Paris

Tour members will meet at the airport three hours prior to departure to organize group and check in. Dinner and breakfast will be served in flight.

Day 2: Paris Arrival in Paris. Guided orientation tour of Paris and its finest monuments along the Seine river, the Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 3: Eternal Paris After breakfast, guided outside tour of the Ile de la Cité. Late morning, Aubade for 30 min in the grandiose setting of Notre Dame Cathedral (sacred repertory only). Visit continues with the Ile Saint-Louis, the Latin Quarter and more. Lunch at leisure followed by a guided tour of the Louvre Museum and a sightseeing cruise on the Seine river. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Paris.

Day 4: Paris After breakfast, free time for visit or shopping. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, your choir will give a public one-hour concert in a church in Paris: Madeleine Church, Saint Augustin, or other (depending on availability). Late afternoon, departure for Reims. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 5: Reims, Songs and Champagne After breakfast, tour of Reims and it’s Notre Dame Cathedral, where the kings of France were crowned. Aubade in the Cathedral with its wonderful acoustic (weekdays only). Then, visit the Palace of Tau, where the kings of France stayed during their coronations. Lunch and time at leisure to visit the Basilica of St. Remi where Clovis was baptized around 500AD. You will sing one or two songs for the pleasure of hearing yourself in this magical setting. Visit a Champagne winery: Pommery or Mumm or another prestigious address followed by a Champagne tasting. This evening, meeting with a local choir with whom we share an informal concert followed by a friendship glass. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Reims

Day 6: Reims - Chartres After breakfast travel to sing in Chartres Cathedral; enjoy the beautiful stained glass windows and sightseeing. From April to September, there is a wonderful night show “Lights of Chartres” to end this trip. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Chartres.

Day 7: Transfer to the airport for our flight back to the US, the end of a memorable pilgrimage.
